For the Love of Golf

I love golf season! I don't actually love golf, but I sure do love golf season. During the spring/summer, Paul is on a golf league with his dad every Thursday night. This means that Aidan and I get to spend every Thursday night together. Tonight, we took a walk around the neighborhood. My mom came over and joined us. Java, my mom and I walked and Aidan rode his new bike.

Aidan is taking a bath right now (which is why I have a minute to do this post). I can hear him singing away in the tub and it puts a smile on my face. After his bath, we have a date with Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs (or as Aidan says, "Snow White and her friends"). I love spending the evening with him, even if I do have to share him with a bunch of dwarfs!!

Now we are Four

Yesterday we celebrated Aidans 4th birthday. It was the saddest birthday for me....realizing that I can't slow the growing process down. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home.

However, on the positive side, I have truly loved every stage of his life. I was surprised when he turned one, but there were so many things I loved about him being one. I couldn't believe when he turned two, but there were so many things I loved about Aidan being two. I blinked and he was three....and again was faced with many things that I loved about three. Now we are four. I look forward to the upcoming year and all of the smiles it will bring.

We began Aidans 4 year celebration yesterday with a new bright and shiny, red power rangers bike....complete with helmet, knee and elbow pads. We gave it to him before Paul left for work and Aidan was thrilled. At 7:30am, Aidan says, "Hey mommy, I have an idea. Why don't we get dressed and go for a bike ride." Since it WAS his birthday, how could I say no? So, off we went biking around the neighborhood (at, may I remind you, 7:30am)....stopping at every dandelion to pick for mommy. How sweet! He was so thrilled with the knee and elbow pads that I had to bribe him to take them off. For lunch, we met Daddy at work. Riding on the elevator to the 39th floor was very exciting. In the evening we went putt-putt golfing and had chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream. Aidan certainly takes after me with his love of chocolate. It was a perfect day!! Saturday we are having the grandparents over for a small birthday party....with a golf theme. Hmmmm, can you tell daddys influence already?

Happy Birthday, Aidan. We love you very much!

The Beginning

Thanks to my scrapbooking buddy, Trista, I've finally gotten on board with the idea of blogging. After many attempts to talk myself out of it, I've decided to try it out. The purpose of my blog is to keep everyone up to date on Aidan. He has many relatives that live out of state and I thought it might be nice for them to be able to logon and catch a glimpse of.....A day in the life. So, if your interested in keeping up with our rapidly growing 4 year old (sniff, sniff), stay tuned and enjoy the ride!!
